About Us
We are a not-for-profit wargaming community with a passion for Games Workshop and affiliated games, based in Winchester, Hampshire, UK.
Our quest is to provide regular, affordable escapism for our Hammerers in an adult-only environment, whilst also providing quality gaming tables to enrich the immersive experience.
Everyone is welcome, and we'll even help organise your first game if you’d like, so you can get gaming straight away! Your first night's always free too.
Join the Community
Our club thrives within our WhatsApp community, with dedicated groups for each gaming system to support our Hammerers with finding opponents for our club nights. The community groups are also your go-to for any upcoming news & events.

The Winchester Club, Worthy Lane, Winchester, UK
Most of our Events are held at the Winchester Club. The venue has a large hall where we can set up tables for our games, and includes a bar which you're welcome to use during your visit.
There is parking available directly outside the Club, and it is a short walk from the train station.

The club meets in weekly "Club Nights" at the Winchester Club.
Club nights run on the first and third Wednesday of each month, and the second and fourth Tuesday, from 6pm until 11pm.
You can reserve a table, which will come with a gaming mat and terrain included to play any of your favourite Games Workshop games.
Everyone is welcome, whether to watch, play or just chat about the hobby.
Tournaments
The Hampshire Hammerers host tournaments & events both during weekly club nights and during weekends throughout the year for a range of Games Workshop games.
Our tournaments are open to all, and we encourage players of all skill levels to join in.
For the Middle Earth Strategy battle Game, we also run GBHL Official Tournaments.
Narrative Play
Indulge in the rich lore of the Warhammer universes at our narrative play events and club campaigns.
We regularly host organised play events through the club including 40k crusades, Necromunda campaigns, AoS Path to Glory events and many more. All our current campaigns can be found within their dedicated WhatsApp groups within the Hammerers community..
As well as weekly club nights, we regularly host weekend events including exclusive Hammerers prize support from our friends at Dark Fantastic Mills.
As a not-for-profit organisation, our events offer fantastic value for money, focused on raising reinvestment into our club offering as well as providing affordable environments to meet like-minded wargamers and grow our player base.
Weekly Specialist Nights @ Mythic Games
Every Thursday, the Hammerers host weekly specialist games nights at Mythic Tabletop Games, Winchester’s hybrid retail and social gaming space catering to tabletop enthusiasts.
Here we welcome not only Hammerers who enjoy games such as Kill Team, Blood Bowl & Necromunda, but also those who enjoy RPGs set in the Warhammer universe.
40k Tournament Hosting
For 40K fans, our matched play tables are sponsored by our friends at the Winchester Rogue Traders - Hampshire’s best Warhammer 40k Matched Play tournament hosts.
